Welcome to the first edition of The Red Machine for 2014. Preparations for another great year have been underway all summer and we are now approaching the start of the senior season on 29 March. Here is everything you need to know from around the club...

Spillane Cup preseason tournament this weekend

The annual New Zealand Marist preseason tournament is being hosted by Hutt Old Boys Marist in Lower Hutt this weekend. MSP will be represented by our Senior, Colts and Presidents teams. Come down to get an early glimpse of the talent running out for MSP this season... >>>

We are pleased to announce that we will be again offering free subscriptions for all new under-6 to under-13 players in 2014. This provides an opportunity for all children to try Rippa or Tackle rugby. Follow the link for more details... >>>

Little Rippas - A great way to get into rugby

MSP Juniors have a great nursery grade for your sons and daughters aged 2 - 4 years old. There are no rugby games and there is no training, it is more focused on fun games and activities that will develop basic ball skills and set them up to move into under 6's when they are ready. The sessions run for 30 minutes and are always held in the MSP gym (great as no problem with weather!)... >>>

Preseason got underway last weekend with a strong performance against Manawatu club champions Kia Toa, photo's on our Facebook page... MSP is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Haines as the new Club Captain... Congratulations to Jay and Geraldine Manu'a on the arrival of their twin daughters Madeleine and Azaria on 5 February... Congratulations to St Patrick's College, Wellington on their third consecutive McEvedy Shield win this week...
