While it feels like summer has only just arrived with the recent heatwave we're actually only six weeks away from Swindale Shield and Harper Lock Shield action on 23 March. Our players have been putting in the work preparing for the season with large numbers attending preseason training three nights a week. The Swindale Shield and Harper Lock Shield competitions kick off on Saturday 23 March as we host Poneke at Evans Bay Park. Wellington Rugby have made changes to the competition format in this Rugby World Cup year...

Last week Naitoa Ah Kuoi, Keelan Whitman and Leo Thompson represented the Hurricanes Under 20s in their match against their Blues counterparts...
