Dynamic duo to mentor Senior 1s
The Rugby Sub Committee of Marist St Pats is delighted to announce the appointment of the "Silverstream duo" of three-time Jubilee Cup winning coach Murray Tocker and former MSP and Hurricanes lock Bernie Upton as the coaches of the Senior 1 team for the 2014 season.
We are thrilled to be able to confirm appointments of this calibre and have the greatest confidence that the team will benefit from excellent leadership and that the 2014 Senior 1 squad will be a fertile ground for the development of rugby talent in the Club.
Both coaches have enjoyed huge success on the playing field and amassed incredible experience in this great game and they bring to the task maturity and enthusiasm that we are confident will translate into an enjoyable and successful season for the Senior 1 team and also (absolutely critically) offer excellent support for what is shaping to be a strong Premier side.
Further announcements will be made shortly regarding other coaching appointments and the Rugby Sub Committee remains interested in hearing from anyone who is keen to be involved in the coaching of senior and age grade teams next year. As you can see from the appointments made to date it is shaping up to be a very enjoyable year at the Club and that you will receive a lot of support from these Senior coaches throughout the season.
