Message from Mike Renouf (Marist St Pats Club Captain)
'2021 has been a challenging season in more ways than one, both on and off the field. I'd like to congratulate our Premier Men's Team on putting aside the off-field distractions they have experienced this season and finishing top of the Swindale Shield points table.
While it's a bit disappointing that we missed out on the Shield by a tiebreaker, there were a lot of positives - we scored more points and more tries than any other team and have had a number of players achieve significant playing milestones. The good news is that we now get a chance to harness any disappointment in the Jubilee Cup rounds.
On that note I'd like to encourage as many Marist St Pats supporters to get along to support James and the boys this Saturday when we play Ories at home. Ories supporters will come in numbers so it's important we have as many of our club members, partners, family members, friends at Evans Bay Park showing their Marist St Pats colours.
Let's turn Evans Bay Park into a sea of red and get in behind Zak and the team in their quest to win the Jubilee Cup.
If you're up for a double-dose of finals action, our Colts play their semi final against Petone at 12.30pm at Petone Rec.
See you on the touchlines this Saturday and good luck to all MSP teams this weekend.'
