MSP 7s take out Ulalei tournament
The first silverware has been claimed for the year after our Sevens side won the annual Ulalei Sevens Tournament at Porirua Park today.
Having beaten Upper Hutt in the semi finals our side found themselves behind 5-14 to defending champions Apia Auckland Maroons at half time in the final. Three second half tries, including two to Wellington Sevens rep Isaia Petelo, saw them snatch a 17-14 win.
Ryan Setefano, who has been instrumental in the Sevens programme all season, was named player of the tournament.
