Marist St Pats life member Murray Tocker has been voted in as the President of the Wellington Rugby Football Union for 2016.
This adds another chapter in Murray's history as one of the most prominent and influential members of the Wellington club rugby community.
Following 168 games playing for Marist St Pats, which included the famous 42 game winning streak in the late 1970s, Murray embarked on a very successful coaching tenure with the club. He has coached three winning Juibllee Cup teams, in 2008 and 2009 with Kevin Horan and in 2011 with Clayton McMillan.
Murray's knowledge and experiences will make him a valuable asset to the wider club community. MSP Chairman Mike Hansen, the management board and all club members extend their congratulations to Murray and look forward to his further involvement in grassroots rugby.
