Strong side to compete in NZ Marist 7s Tournament
Coach Pio Savali has named a strong side to compete in the 18th edition of the annual New Zealand Marist 7s Tournament at Evans Bay this weekend.
Pio notes that the squad balances a strong mix of youth and experience. There are three players who played for the national championship winning Wellington 7s side this year in Matt Peni, Isaac O'Connor and Andrew Wells; along with two recent school leavers in Aleks Noble-Campbell and Salio Siaunua. The squad also features a number of Jubilee Cup winning players.
MSP will play pool matches on Friday against Greymouth Marist at 9.45am and Hamilton Marist at 10.30am. It would be great to have your support as the team strive to bring home the silverware.
