MSP seven in Wellington Sevens training squad
Showing the strength and depth Marist St Pats has in the shorter version of the game, seven of our players have been named in the Wellington 7s training squad.
The club congratulates Isaia Petelo (below), Andrew Wells, Julian Tupai, Ivan Vaisagote, Josh To'omaga, Isaac O'Connor and Aviata Silago on their invitation to be involved in this team.
It is not only the representative side that is preparing for the summer Sevens circuit, the MSP programme is also underway. Sevens coach Pio Savali is running trainings on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Evans Bay for players to work on fitness and skills.
The Sevens programme is a great way to keep sharp over the summer months and has proved beneficial for many team members across the grades the following season. It is also a great way for new players, including school leavers, to get involved in the club and participate with Premier team members.
