The blood still runs red for Ged

One of Marist St Pats' favourite son's was at the club on Saturday night. During the current Super Rugby break, MSP centurion Ged Robinson (pictured with the late Fr Geoff Broad) was home to see his family and catch up with friends. But he also paid a visit to his club to donate another of his playing jerseys, this time from the Melbourne Rebels where he is currently the vice-captain.

Having recently notched up 50 Super Rugby appearances while playing in the Navy Blue of the Rebels, Ged wanted to donate another piece of his memorabilia to his beloved club where it will take its place alongside his jersey worn for the Wellington Lions in their 2008 Ranfurly Shield win.

Ged remains a proud Marist man saying 'I feel it's important to remember where I have come from... I owe a lot to the club for my career in rugby and it's really hard to give back at the moment living in Melbourne'.

The former Hurricane and Junior All Black also sees MSP as a way to remember his late father who had a lot to do with the club, 'I think he would be proud of MSP and me and hopefully in the near future I can come back and play for Marist again!'

While we all would love to see Ged back in red, we firstly wish him all the best as he returns to New Zealand after the Super Rugby season to play ITM Cup for Hawkes Bay in search of a place in the All Blacks.
