The Marist St Pats Rugby Club (MSP) is one of the most recognised clubs both in Wellington and within New Zealand. We have a strong and proud history of success, with a number of former players and coaches who are currently at representative levels in New Zealand and globally. We are current holders of the Jubilee Cup.
As a Club we are proud of our history, and we are now looking to the future to ensure it matches this success. To enable us to do this we are seeking an experienced Club Coaching Coordinator (CCO) who can share this vision with us.
The CCO’s main responsibilities will consist of:
The role will also consist of a component dedicated to deliver on Wellington Rugby Football Union objectives. These activities are based on the principle of promoting rugby to the community; local schools with coaching development and support, as well as encouraging participation and player numbers through various rugby tournaments.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their experience through an extensive rugby background attaining qualifications in coaching (preferably New Zealand qualifications). They will also ideally evidence proven experience in leading, managing, and organising people and be highly self-motivated.
Our values at MSP are integral to the way we play and manage rugby – and our CCO will need to be leading by example; encouraging both players and coaches to live the club’s values, as well as personally demonstrating a high level of integrity in their actions.
