Wainui tournament rounds off MSP's sevens season
MSP's sevens team (right) ended their 2012 season with a 24-12 semi-final loss to Wellington B in the Piri Weepu sevens tournament at Wainui on 8 December.
Earlier the team had beaten Wests (see video below) and an invitation team to make it through to the Cup semis.
Three MSP players turned out for the two Wellington rep teams in the tournament - Isaia Petelo for the As, and Andrew Ellis and Andrew Wells for the Bs.
The sevens boys will be back in action early next year with the Ulalei tournament at the end of January and the NZ Marist sevens in the first week of February. Both tournaments are scheduled for Evans Bay, although just two fields will be available because of work on the new artificial turf.
