R.I.P. Father Geoff
It's with great sadness that Marist St Pat's reports the passing of life member and club chaplain, Fr Geoff Broad. Father Geoff passed away peacefully in his sleep last Friday morning, 17 February, after a long illness.
Father Geoff, a former Navy chaplain, has been deeply involved with Marist St Pats for most of the club's 40 years. The photo shows him at the celebrations of MSP's Jubilee Cup win in 2009.
Father Geoff was also the parish priest of St Francis de Sales in Island Bay. Mass will be held there on Tuesday 21 February at 11.00am. A Vigil Mass will be held the night before at the church at 7.30pm, Monday 20 February.
The club extends its deepest sympathy to Father Geoff's sister and nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by us all.
