Former MSP centre Chris Slade will play in the Melbourne Rebels B team this year after being picked from Melbourne club rugby to trial for the new Super XV team's A side.
Although he's missed out on the top team, Chris has had positive feedback from coach Rod McQueen and he may yet get some Super XV game time if there are injuries to A squad members. He was the premiers' top try scorer for the season when he departed MSP for Melbourne in July last year with 118 premier games behind him.
In the Rebels pre-season clash with the Crusaders on 5 February, Ged Robinson, another MSP centurion, was the starting hooker.
