Introducing Corban King

Marist St Pats is again thrilled to welcome a number of school leavers, international players and other new players to the club in 2025. We'll introduce a number of them through player profiles during the season.

Corban King

High School: Wellington College
Position: Tighthead (can play both sides)

What was your highlight of High School rugby?

Playing in the Wellington premier final with a crazy atmosphere with all the boys supporting in the rain. It was a great experience even though the result did not go our way. And playing centurions u18’s and taking out the Hurricanes region competition. Also managing to play a full game to come back by 20 points to beat the Wellington Samoans.

What has brought you to Marist St Pats

What brought me to MSP was the sense of a club looking to build and that has a vision and plan to achieve. It felt like a place I could belong to.

Tell us about your first impressions at Marist St Pats

My first impressions of the club was that it was very welcoming and seemed to have a genuine interest in what I wanted to achieve.

Tell us about what you're doing off the field in 2025

After leaving school I started working at BNZ, as a Front line Banker in the branches around Wellington. Outside of rugby and training, I love a good round of Golf.
