Anne Gordon - Rest in peace
The Marist St Pats family is saddened to share news of the passing of much loved Club member Mrs Anne Gordon. We offer the Club’s sincerest condolences to the extended Gordon family.
Marist St Pats has always been fortunate to have the presence of Anne at many Club matches and functions. Anne has always supported the Club, contributing heavily to the Club’s friendly, positive atmosphere.
Anne was the wife of the late John Gordon, a Life Member of Marist St Pats RFC, and was often at the Club’s annual prize giving to present the John L. Gordon Memorial Trophy for the Most Meritorious Senior 1 Player.
Anne had a wonderful Christmas with her family in Christchurch where she has lived in recent years. The Gordon family have shared that they are grateful for a life well lived.
Anne’s Requiem Mass will be on Wednesday 19th January 2022 at St Peter’s, Beckenham, Christchurch. Eventually, Anne’s ashes will be interred with the late John at Karori Cemetery, Wellington.
We trust that the knowledge that the extended Gordon family are in the thoughts and prayers of so many Marist St Pat’s players and supporters will be of comfort to the family at this time.
