Anniversary dinner close to sold out
MSP's 50th anniversary dinner, scheduled for Friday 4 June this coming Queens Birthday Weekend, is close to sold out.
Just a handful to tickets remain so anyone who would like to attend should email the club asap. Tickets are limited to two per person.
The 50th celebrations had originally been planned for Queens Birthday 2020 but the event had to be postponed because of Covid. Those plans included a $150 a head dinner at Te Papa, which can host 450. But this year's dinner, which is $100 (including food and drinks), will be at the clubrooms which has a maximum capacity of just 270 people seated at tables.
The dinner will feature the naming of MSP's official 50th anniversary team. Jerseys will be presented to the players judged the best to have played for the club in its first 50 years.
