As we've seen some better weather emerge in the capital and a decent summer looks promising, the wheels of the Red Machine keep turning and there is still plenty going on around the club. Our Women's Sevens team have claimed the first silverware of the summer season and our Off-season Training programme kicked off at Evans Bay this week. This is the latest from Marist St Pats...

Off-season training underway at Evans Bay

Our Off-season strength and conditioning programme kicked off at Evans Bay this week. We're fortunate to have the services of our new Strength and Conditioning Coach Max Symes who has recently completed an internship with the Highlanders. All new and returning players along with College leavers are welcome... >>>

It's been great to see Jeff To'omaga-Allen return to the All Blacks fold over the past couple of months - and even better to see him on the field in the past few weeks... Congratulations to our players who contributed to the Wellington Lions winning the Mitre10 Cup Championship, earning promotion to the Premiership in 2018 (Vince Sakaria, Ha'amea Ahio, James Tuiatua, Billy Proctor, Andrew Wells, Sam Lousi and Jeff To'omaga Allen)... Wellington Rugby has confirmed further changes to the Premier grade competition with the Jubilee Cup and Hardham Cup competitions to be contested by the Top 7 and Bottom 7 of the Swindale Shield respectively... Billy Proctor has been included in the New Zealand Under 20s squad in preparation for the 2018 Under 20 World Cup... Elijah Fonoti toured with the New Zealand Marist Colts in August... Regan Sword represented New Zealand Marist in their fixture against the Heartland XV earlier this month... Former MSP prop Donald Brighouse has made his test debut for Manu Samoa on their end of season Northern Hemisphere tour... In mid-October our Women's side hosted, and beat, the Queensland Samoa Womens team at Prince of Wales Park... At the Wellington Club Rugby Awards Matt Peni was named Wellington Development Player of the Year, while Billy Proctor was named Best Performing Player in the Wellington Academy... Former Marist St Pats junior players Nikora Broughton (Hato Paora), Samson Alaimoana and Jeremiah Tuiatua (St Patrick's College) who will attend the Hurricanes Regional U17 Coaching Camp in December...
