While the rugby season has been underway for a couple of months now its fair to say it's about to heat up. The highlights of June will include Past Players and Supporters Day this Saturday, the British and Irish Lions tour, and the start of the Jubilee Cup round. We invite you to get involved in a big month of rugby and join us for a number of exciting events...

Premiers book their spot in the Jubilee Cup round

On the back of four tries from No. 8 Matt Peni, our Premiers confirmed their place in the Jubilee Cup by way of a 65-13 victory over Paremata-Plimmerton at the weekend. The Jubilee Cup will kick off on 10 June... >>>

Saturday 3 June: Past Players and Supporters Day

Whether you're a sideline supporter or former social grade toiler; a junior player or a Jubilee Cup winner - we want you to join us for Past Players and Supporters Day this coming Saturday. All events are held at our clubrooms and Hataitai Park and will coincide with a reunion of 1970s players and management... >>>

Friday 30 June: Shamrock Club Test Dinner with Gavin Hastings

St Patricks College, commencing 6.45pm

Guest Speaker: Gavin Hastings, World Rugby Hall of Famer and the last player to captain a Lions team that beat the All Blacks.

MC: Keith Quinn, NZ sports commentator of over 100 test matches

Ticket includes:

  • Pre-dinner drinks and canapés
  • Three course buffet meal
  • Complimentary bar

Saturday 1 July: All Blacks v British and Irish Lions Test Match Function

Embassy Theatre, commencing 5.30pm


If you don't have tickets to the Stadium, this will be the best place to watch the game in Wellington.

Entry to this function includes:
  • Pre-test build up with complimentary finger food
  • Complimentary bar
  • Comfortable seating to watch the test on the biggest screen in Wellington
  • Guarantee to be warm and dry!

Marist St Pats Colts player Grayson Whitman has been called into the Manu Samoa Under 20 squad which has assembled for the Junior World Cup in Georgia this week; the team is captained by MSP prop Ivan Fepulea'i... Following promotion to Division One our Women have had two strong performances, a narrow loss to perennial contenders Norths and a 44-10 win over Old Boys-University... Halfback Cheyne Copeland captained the St Mary's College 7s team that won the Sanix World Championship in Japan this month; she was joined by fellow MSP player Ainsleyana Puleiata. Cheyne's been in fine form for MSP, scoring three tries against OBU last weekend... The St Pat's College Foundation Dinner with Michael Jones will be held on 17 June, club members invited to attend...
