Welcome to the latest newsletter from around the club. The first round is starting to wrap up for many teams as winter appears to have arrived in Wellington!

Jubilee Cup starts this Saturday


Following an up and down first round the Premiers finished the Swindale Shield with a 29-all draw with winners Tawa and will take confidence heading into the Jubilee Cup round. Four of the seven games will be played at home and we look forward to support from the sidelines... >>>

Quiz Night with Jason Pine


Newstalk ZB's Jason Pine will host the second annual Marist St Pats quiz night on 27 June. It was a great event last year and is shaping up to be just as good in 2013... >>>

Around the traps...
The club is excited for Under 20 Rugby World Cup which started today in France. Premier prop Don Brighouse will represent New Zealand, we wish him all the best!... Congratulations to Julian Tupai and Charlie Graham who were recently presented with their blazers for starting in 50 Premier games for the Red Machine... The Colts play this Friday night under the lights at Te Whaea... The Under 85 Blues have extended their winning streak to 30! Read the story about the first 25 games of that streak here... Just after the last newsletter went out, the President's brought home the Tino Fidow Cup for the first time... Premier players Sefo Setefano and Liu Taituave recently held a ball skills session at St Francis De Sales primary school in Island Bay. The kids and teachers loved their energy and knowledge; both are great ambassadors for our club... Last month MSP announced the establishment of the Marist St Pats - Shamrock Foundation, a registered charitable trust with objectives to educate people in the benefits of health and well-being from participating in amateur sports and recreational activities...
