The premier 2s have a chance to sew up a Hardham Cup semi in their game against Wests >>> Ladies' Night at the clubrooms A special invitation to all MSP's women members and supporters this Saturday, who will be welcomed at the clubrooms with a complimentary glass of bubbly. There's also an opportunity to win $1000 when the 'Beat the Budgie' jackpot is drawn later >>> Work on artificial turf begins in October Work on the new artificial sports field at St Pats is due to start in October, with a scheduled completion date in April so that it can be used for the 2013 season. The facility promises to be a great asset for the many college and MSP senior and junior teams based at Evans Bay >>> Congratulations Matt Buck and Tessa Murphy Congratulations to MSP's 'Volunteers of the Month', Matt Buck and Tessa Murphy, for their tireless work around the club this year >>> Around the traps The highly successful Quiz Night in July promises to become an annual event - check out the photo gallery.... Good to see so many former players passing on their skills- Sean Cockburn co-coaching the colts, Dan Scanlon helping out with the senior 2s, Norm Broughton with the prem 1 and 2 backs, and Mark Bradshaw with the prem 2s also... Expect to see several Hurricanes in action this Saturday in the prem's game against Ories - Motu Matu'u, Jack Lam, Mark Reddish and Julian Savea for Ories, and Jeff To'omaga-Allen for MSP. Victor Vito is still unavailable through injury...
