The headstone of the late Rodney 'Diego' Moses carries the MSP crest as a permanent reminder of his fondness for his old club. Life member Kevin Allan was intrigued to see it at Diego's recent unveiling >>>


Junior reps and Little Rippas

Congratulations to these MSP juniors who have been picked for Wellington rep teams. And a new round of Little Rippa rugby for under-5s starts after the holidays. Premier coach Murray Tocker enjoyed taking his grandkids along to recent sessions. For details of Little Rippa rugby next term, email junior convenor Martin Paget.

'Beat the Budgie' jackpots to $600 this Saturday 30 June. Be there when the winning membership no. is drawn.... Later, there's a farewell to popular under-85 Reds manager Matt 'Tiff' Smith, who'll end a decade of involvement with the club when he heads overseas.... The clubrooms have been humming this year, which is a tribute to social convenor Karin Graham and her tireless band of helpers... A Pyjama Party to be hosted jointly with the St Mary's Old Girls netball club on 14 July promises to be another great night... MSP extends its sympathy to Seti Tafua and his family. Seti is a former Poneke player who was seriously injured while playing for his Northern Suburbs club in Sydney last Saturday. Seti's father Olly played for MSP and later helped coach and manage several MSP teams.
