With Wellington about to be deluged by World Cup fans, the timing of the club's RWC dinner couldn't be better. MSP's clubrooms will be open this Saturday from 5pm so you can watch the RWC quarterfinals on the big screens. If the Fanzone gets too packed, come along and watch Wales v Ireland and France v England and enjoy MSP's hospitality >>>
Both fitness and weights training with specialised trainers are now underway at Evans Bay. Weights and gym work feature on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays there's fitness and circuit trainings. All current and new players invited >>>
The club's annual prizegiving and the grade-winning under 85 Reds feature in the latest photo galleries on the MSP website. Paul 'Budgie' Jacobsen and John Holden took the prizegiving pics, while Jordan Wilson has some great shots of the Reds victory over Poneke >>>
The club is still looking for coaches and managers for 2012. Coaching can be very rewarding so, in the words of first-time coach Roy Montgomery, 'Give it a go!' >>>
Prop Arden David is MSP's representative in the NZ Marist team that will take on the NZ Heartland XV at Pukekohe on 15 October. Brendan Reidy is the NZ Marist assistant coach.... MSP's Victor Vito is one of four Marist All Blacks in the RWC squad. The others are Tony Woodcock and Anthony Boric from North Harbour Marist, and Isaia Toeava from Auckland Marist... MSP sevens players Ryan Setefano and Ben Tuia are in the training squad for the Wellington sevens team to compete in next January's national tournament.
