Lockdown with Aidan Morgan

We're catching up with our players to hear how they have been through the COVID-19 lockdown period. Next up is new recruit, NZ Secondary Schools First Five Aidan Morgan who has joined Marist St Pats from Auckland.

What have you been doing to keep busy in lockdown?

In lockdown I've been trying to keep busy by getting my strength and conditioning training done then trying to get out and do some skills work too. Also fortunately university has gone online so I've been working through assignments for my papers. Other than that I've been spending some time relaxing with family.

Best movie or tv show you've watched?

Currently watching the "Last Dance" documentary on Michael Jordan and the '97 Bulls which I'm enjoying. I've also been watching some of the Marvel classics.

Are you a gamer? What have you been playing?

Not much of a gamer, but have played a bit of NBA 2K on PlayStation.

How have you been keeping in touch with your team mates?

Been keeping in touch with my mates on zoom calls and messaging. Looking forward to catching up with them after lockdown.

What are you most looking forward to about moving to level 3?

Not too much will change for me in level three although hopefully will be able to get out a bit more and head to the beach or something like that.

How have you been keeping fit?

I'm grateful to have a bit of a home gym set up so I've been using that and getting my conditioning blocks done down at the local rugby fields. Also the Wellington Academy has been helping me with new ideas to stay fit and ready for rugby.

What are you most looking forward to about rugby when it eventually returns?

Looking forward to finally getting my debut for MSP and getting out on the field with the boys. Hopefully to chase some silverware.
