An Englishman, a former All Black and one of club rugby's finest halves combinations will form the Premier coaching team for Marist St Pats in 2019.
Forwards and Head Coach: Simon Culley
Backs Coach: Marty Berry
Attack Coach: Peter Sciascia
Skills and Kicking Coach: Fa'atonu Fili
Head coach Simon Culley joins MSP with over ten years coaching experience in the United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand. Most recently he has been the Wellington Pride 7s Head Coach and the Director of Rugby at Upper Hutt Rams RFC. He has a track record in developing players for representative honours.
Si is excited to join Marist St Pats saying that the heritage and history of success at the club is second to none.
Supporters might be more familiar with former All Black and Hurricanes midfielder Marty Berry. Marty played provincial rugby for Wairarapa Bush, Wellington and Manawatu through the 80s and 90s. Since hanging up the boots, Marty has had vast experience coaching at club and college level in the Wellington and Wairarapa regions.
The final two members of the coaching team need little introduction to the Evans Bay faithful, Peter Sciascia and Fa'atonu Fili have over 400 Premier matches between them and have a number of Jubilee Cup's to their name. Their onfield experience and existing rapport with the players will be invaluable.
Coaches: Edwin Meachen and Daniel Kauraka
Premier Reserve coaches Edwin Meachen and Daniel Kauraka return to mentor the side they led to a Harper Lock/Ed Chaney double in 2018.
The popular duo will be critical to the continued development of our emerging players which they have a track record of doing. The pair said they're looking forward to continue to working with some great young talent that showed their class in the past season.

As Director of Rugby, Zak Feaunati will oversee all coaching at the club. He is delighted with the calibre of the coaches we've been able to attract and expects the players will be impressed experience they will bring to continue their development.
