Marist St Pats extends its condolences to the family and friends of Piri (Bill) Nathan on the passing of a much loved husband and father on Saturday 19 May. Bill passed away at Hawkes Bay Hospital after a long battle with liver and kidney problems.
Bill was a foundation player for MSP, taking the field as a flanker in Marist St Pats first premier team in 1971, alongside captain and lock Mick Robbers and hooker Kevin Horan. Coach Brian Coulter remembers Bill as an outstanding loose forward.
Although Bill remained in good spirits, he was unable to attend last year’s 1970s’ reunion because of his poor health. Our sympathy to his wife Marlene and their children and grandchildren. RIP.
