Marist St Pats midfielder Isaia Petelo has been named in coach Alama Ieremia's Manu Samoa squad for the upcoming June test matches against Georgia, Fiji and Tonga. The test against Georgia will be Manu Samoa’s first hit out for 2016.
Isaia who has played 85 Premier matches for Marist St Pats to date and was the club's Sportsman of the Year in 2014 is one of 12 uncapped players named in the squad. He is known throughout Wellington for his ability to break the line and his uncompromising defense.
He played for the Wellington 7s side over the summer and represented Samoa A in the Pacific Rugby Challenge in March before returning to Wellington for the Swindale Shield.
Marist St Pats was extremely proud to learn of Isaia's inclusion in this squad today and wish him all the best for this opportunity, it has been earned on the back of some excellent performances in recent years.
