Fullback Andrew Wells heads to France at the end of the week to take on a contract with Rugby Pro D2 club FC Auch Gers.
Andrew has enjoyed a successful few seasons at Marist St Pats winning a Jubilee Cup in his first year out of college in 2012 followed by a Swindale Shield in 2014. He went on to represent the Wellington Lions in 2013 and 2014.
While looking forward to the opportunity to play overseas, after 61 games for the club he is sad to leave the Red Machine saying 'I'm going to miss playing with all the boys from Marist that I have got so used to playing with over the last few years!'
The club wishes Andrew the best for the next stage of his career, he should feel at home in Auch - they too wear red!
