Marist St Pats Premier captain Isaac O'Connor made his Wellington Lions debut off the bench in their 31-13 win over Bay of Plenty today.
His ITM Cup debut caps off another fine season for Isaac where he has been a feature of the Wellington Development team and was named MSP's Sportsman of the Year.
While Isaac only saw limited gametime off the bench, the game featured a number of other MSP connections. Jeff To'omaga-Allen and Vince Sakaria both started at prop for the Lions and took on fellow MSP 'Front Row University' graduate Solomona Sakalia who now ply's his trade for Bay of Plenty. 2012 Jubilee Cup winning coach Clayton McMillan is the coach for BOP.
With only one round to play, the Lions have booked a home semi-final in a fortnight's time.
