Archbishop John Dew selected to the College of Cardinals
The Marist St Pats family extends its congratulations to its Patron, Archbishop John Dew, on being selected to the College of Cardinals.
The announcement was made by Pope Francis on 5 January. Archbishop Dew becomes New Zealand's fourth cardinal, the last being Cardinal-priest Thomas Williams, also the Archbishop of Wellington, who received the honour in 1983. Archbishop Williams was also the Patron of the Marist St Pats RFC prior to his retirement.
