The under-85 Blues capped a perfect season by taking out the division one title with a 26-6 win over Tawa in the final on 18 August, while the Internationals rule the Reserve division-one roost after knocking over Poneke 21-13 in their final.
On a calm afternoon at Te Whaea, the Blues didn't have it all their own way in the early stages against Tawa, but a try from a charge down set them on their winning way. The Blues haven't lost a game all year and Tawa are the only team to have seriously threatened them.
However, the Blues' class couldn't be denied and they added two more tries to collect the Paul Potiki Shield for the third year in a row.
Down at Evans Bay, the Reserve Internationals battled to a win despite having a player red-carded after 30 minutes. It was a sweet result for the team after they'd lost twice to the Poneke Ruffnuts during the season.
Out at the Hutt Rec, the senior 2's season ended after they conceded points late in the game and went down 22-12 to HOB Marist.
The above games end the regular season, one in which the club collected three second-round trophies, including the Jubilee Cup. All nine MSP teams that play in competitive grades made their play-offs - a remarkable achievement.
