Coaches confirmed for all grades
Following the announcement of our Premier Men and Premier Women's coaches earlier this month, Marist St Pats is pleased to confirm coaches for all remaining grades for 2025.
Premier Reserve
Our Premier Reserves will again be led by Tovio Apolo who returns for his second season as coach (while still being tempted to pull on the jersey from time to time).
Tovio will be joined by former Premier and Premier Reserve player Geoff Fepuleai as his assistant. The club is delighted to see coaching pathways for our former players to develop their skills and support them to contribute to the club after hanging up the boots.
Life member and Premier Reserve managment legend, John Poutawera, will continue to support the team sideline.
Colts
Our Under 21 Colts side enjoyed a strong season in 2024 and will return a number of players for 2025. They will be led by a settled coaching team.
The Head Coach of the Colts will be Tony Travers. Tony joined the team part way through the 2024 season and holds a number of IRANZ accreditations.
Tony will be joined in the coaching team by Mike ‘Mouse’ Jensen and Bernie McLaughlin who return for a second season with the Colts.
The Colts will once again benefit from the efforts of maestro Cal Iaccarino as the Colts Co-ordinator supporting our players with organisational and pastoral care.
Internationals
The all conquering Internationals who went unbeaten in 2024 will again be coached by Aaron Bouzaid. Aaron is joined by a formidable line up of assistant and specialist coaches: David Isaia (assistant), Alex Baylis (forwards), Nathan Simpson (backs), Mike Bridges (special plays) and Reuben Fretton (hydration).
Tom Warner returns as Manager and is joined by 'Dr' Chris Love as the team's Player Welfare Liason!
Under 85s
The Under 85s will also be returning a settled coaching team with Calum Bron and Malcolm Mashingaidze back to guide the side.
Presidents
It goes without saying that the dynamic duo of Henry Fidow and Mick ‘Spud’ Joyce will be back offering sage advice to the glamour team of the club.
