Premier Reserves presented the Harper Lock Shield

It was always going to be a good day for the Premier Reserves, they walked out on the park knowing they would receive the Harper Lock Shield regardless of today's result. But the skill of this team and determination to perform meant they were always going to bring their A-game regardless. The dominated their match with Poneke from start to finish and walked away with their 12th win from 13 matches.

With Captain Paul Churchman away at his sister's wedding, veteran lock Tovio Apolo led the side today and hoisted the shield which was presented by WRFU President Murray Tocker.

In the final round of Swindale Shield action the Premiers also played Poneke. In a seesaw battle it came down to a 40 metre penalty kick from Fa'atonu Fili in the dying minutes to snatch the victory.
