Buck impressed with content flowing about Wellington Club Rugby
Former Marist St Pats Premier manager, now Saturday Rugby Club radio host, Matt Buck is delighted to be taking listeners around the grounds each weekend on his Radio Sport show.
Matt says he gets a 'real buzz' out of broadcasting the action given that radio coverage of Premier rugby a beloved part of the fabric of the local game, with listeners tuning in from the comfort of home along with around the grounds on the wireless.
Along with his excellent live coverage, Matt is impressed with the coverage the game gets through new technology - especially given that much of it is done by volunteers.
He gets regular comments from friends around the globe about how accessible the competition is through content on the Club Rugby website, the Holden Bros. Media videos - along with the radio.
Matt believes its an open race for the title and rates competition leaders Hutt Old Boys Marist a tough opposition. He does warn however that should MSP make the playoffs they will always be a force to be reckoned with.
Matt also wanted to acknowledge Jason Pine for giving him the opportunity to host the show and also in advance for again hosting the upcoming Mahoney Burrows Horner Quiz Night at MSP.
The Saturday Rugby Club airs on Radio Sport in Wellington on Saturday afternoons.
