John Wootton named President in 2014

Following Terry Manion's two successful years at President of Marist St Pats, John Wootton was named the 2014 President at the 43rd Annual General Meeting. Terry welcomed John with the following speech:

'John played over 100 Senior 1 games for Marist St Pats (now known as Premiers).

John was part of the Jubilee Cup winning team in 1979 that won 20 games out of 20 and cleaned up the Swindale Shield and Jubilee Cup double. He was also part of that team that won 42 games on the trot. John represented Wellington Rugby from 1977 to 1982.

In 2011 John was elected President of the Wellington Rugby Football Union. He is currently the Principal of the Adventure School in Whitby.

We welcome John Wootton as the new President of Marist St Pats.'

The AGM also saw the election of a new Management Board. The Board Members for 2014 will be Rob Evans (Chairman), Bill Harrison, Charles Graham (Snr), Chris Ryan, John Holden, Karin Graham and Steve Witkowski. Colleen Upton is the new Secretary while MaryAnn Spillane and Alan Woods retain their positions as Treasurer and WRFU Delegate respectively.
