Victor Vito to captain Wellington against the All Blacks

Marist St Pats and Hurricanes loose forward Victor Vito has been named captain of the Wellington side to play the All Blacks in the second of two 40 minute preseason games they play on Friday 9 August at Hutt Rec.

Victor will have the chance to prove the All Blacks selectors have made a mistake after missing the Rugby Championship squad named earlier this week. While the captaincy role isn't new to Victor, having previously captained both MSP and the Hurricanes, facing up against the national side with a group of players fresh out of club rugby will be a different challenge, we wish him all the best.

Joining Victor in the team to play the All Blacks will be MSP team mate and New Zealand Under 20s prop Don Brighouse who will play off the bench. In the earlier game against Canterbury, Don will start in the front row while MSP rake Sefo Setefano will join him off the bench. Both players will enjoy the chance to impress ahead of the ITM Cup.

Wellington vs Canterbury kicks off at 4.55pm. Wellington vs All Blacks kicks off at 5.50pm.
