MSP coaches and players nominated for Tui Awards

Several MSP coaches and players are in the running for trophies at the Wellington Rugby Union's end-of-year Tui Awards on 23 November.

Outstanding efforts by the under-85 Blues and colts have been acknowleged with the nominations for 'Club Coach of the Year' including Blues coach Andrew Robinson and colts coach Mason Lawrence. The third nominee is Phil Proctor who coached the Jubilee Cup-winning Ories team.

The 'Club Team of the Year' nominees include the Blues and the colts, with the Ories premiers also nominated.

Damian Rapira-Davies, who coaches MSP's senior 2s, also coached the Wellington Pride women's team. His work to get the Wellington women into the NPC final sees him one of three nominees for the 'Representative Coach of the Year' award.

On the playing side, Ponisitia Paasi from the MSP Red Dragons is one of three players nominated for the Women's Player of the Year. Premier hooker Liu Taituave, who has already won the Billy Wallace Trophy for the Best and Fairest Club Player, will collect his award on the night.

Congratulations to all those coaches and players. It's great to see their hard work during the year recognised.
