Terry Manion new MSP president

Life member Terry Manion is the new president of Marist St Pats following the club's AGM last night. Terry takes over from Mick Robbers who has stepped down after three years in the role.

Terry, a former club captain and premier team manager, will join the club's board along with newcomers Charlie Graham (snr), Bill Harrison, and John Spillane. Pa'ala Lefao, John Knox and Alan Woods have stepped down, although Alan will continue as the club's WRFU rep. Chairman Ruffy Mollo and other speakers warmly thanked the retiring board members for their hard work.

Continuing on the board are Ruffy, secretary Geraldine Manu'a, treasurer MaryAnn Spillane, deputy chair John Holden, club captain Neil Murphy and Karin Graham.

The AGM featured an outline of the proposal for a new artificial turf at Evans Bay, on the St Pats ground to the north of the gym. Mick Robbers, who has been deeply involved with the college and the council in discusions over the project, says it will be a tremendous boost to the club's facilities although many issues must still be resolved before construction gets underway.
