St Pat's College rugby boost through MSP website

The profile of St Pat's College rugby and its links with Marist St Pats have been boosted by the addition of a College section to the MSP website.

The new section went live on 25 February following a lot of work by the parents and coaches on the SPC rugby club committee, particularly Gordon Noble-Campbell, who will edit the new section, and chairman Bill Harrison.

College rugby news and events including pre-season trainings and games, registration times, coaching seminars and details of the 1st XV quadrangular tournament in April are featured on the site. It has the same structure as the main MSP site so that news and photo galleries of college teams can easily be added during the season.

The school's website has a news item about it on its homepage, and links to it through the Activities/Sports/Links buttons. The section can also be accessed through the 'College' link on the top left of every MSP web page.

The set-up was jointly funded by the college committee and by MSP, with the committee appreciating the club's support. For MSP, the new section mean the website establishes an unbroken community of rugby from junior through college to senior grades.

The SPC rugby committee also appreciates the support of the college's major rugby sponsors. These include Woods Waste, 2 degrees, Kilbirnie Sports and Expert, the web design and development company run by St Pat's old boy Evan Bayly who host the site and were instrumental in getting it established.
