Brian Evans appointed Kelston head

Auckland rugby coach Brian Evans, a member of MSP's well-known Evans family, was recently appointed principal of Kelston Boys High, one of Auckland's top rugby schools.

Brian is the son of MSP's first chairman Ron Evans and brother of former club captain Rob. In taking over the reins at Kelston, he follows in the footsteps of another prominent rugby coach, Graham Henry, who was a Kelston principal for nine years.

Brian was the premier coach at Auckland Marist and in 2010 he coached the champion New Zealand women's team to World Cup success.
