Our Premier Women have extended their winning streak to five; while our Premier Men had a humbling loss.
Our Premier Women again kicked off the day with a big victory, this time by 75-14 over Paremata-Plimmerton. Monica Tagoai scored two tries off the bench to bring her season total to 14. The team head out to Porirua next week to take on first place Northern United in a match that will likely decide the winners of the Rebecca Liua'ana Trophy.
Later in the day our Premier Men had Evans Bay Park stormed by a clinical Hutt Old Boys Marist. HOBM scored the first try at the 13 minute mark and the floodgates then opened, with the Eagles jumping out to a 38-0 lead after 30 minutes. A 12-45 halftime deficit was far to much to overcome, however our side did recover to score four tries to take a bonus point. Final score 24-59.
Earlier on the same ground our Premier 2 Men scored a late try to break a 29-29 deadlock and beat a previously unbeaten Hutt Old Boys Marist side by 36-29.
The Colts had a tough match over the road, initially leading Northern United by 26-0 they let their guard down and fell 31-34.
The Under 85s got their first win of the season, taking down Wests by 19-15 at Ian Galloway Park. The Presidents generosity of lending players to a short handed Tawa side saw them tie 29-29. The Internationals won by default for the second time this season.
Our Netball 1 side had their first loss, going down to Kia Ora 4 by 24-39, while Netball 2 remain unbeaten after three rounds beating Kia Ora 10 by 45-12.
