Our Premier Women have continued their best season on record taking down perennial grade heavyweights Oriental-Rongotai by 39-12 at Evans Bay Park. They will host Northern United in the Tia Paasi Memorial Trophy Final next weekend - the first time they have ever qualified for the final.
As expected the challenge from Ories was a tough one, with the game very close until midway through the second half when our side put the foot down and didn't look back. We encourage the Marist St Pats family to get out in numbers next weekend to support our team, more details throughout the week.
In the Swindale Shield, stalwart Valentine Meachen celebrated his 150th Premier game with a try and a 76-19 victory over Wainuiomata at Evans Bay. After scoring first, Wainui took the next two tries to lead after 10 minutes, but it was one way traffic from there. A 43-14 half time lead was extended immediately after the break before the game lost some shape with substitutions.

Around the grounds it was a great weekend for Marist St Pats with all but one team recording victories. Great to see the Premier 2 and Colts sides bounce back from losses last weekend.
Our Netball team finished the first round of their grade competition unbeaten after a win over Wellington East.
