Achievements celebrated at prizegiving

Marist St Pats held its annual Senior Prizegiving on 23 August where we celebrated the individual and collective contributions of our club community.

The Paul Donoghue Trophy for Sportsperson of the Year was awarded to prop Vince Sakaria after an outstanding return to rugby after a season off. This is the second time Vince has won the award having also collected the trophy in 2017.

The W.M. O'Connor Memorial Trophy is awarded to the Most Outstanding Club Member and is the highest honour a non-player can receive. Our tireless Club Captain, Fred Lefaoseu, was recognised for his huge contribution to supporting our teams on and off the field throughout the season.

The coveted Mick Horan Memorial Trophy was awarded to Josh To'omaga also made an immense return to rugby after a season off.

The Father Geoff Broad Memorial Trophy for Team of the Year was awarded to the Premier Reserves who embodied the intent of the award - recognising high standards off the field and a club first mentality.

The all conquering Internationals picked up the William Te Oka Shield for earning the most competition points with their prop James Holbrook also collecting the Mons. Heavey Cup for scoring the most tries for the club this season.

Congratulations to all prizewinners and team MVPs and thank you to all who made a contribution on and off the field in 2024.
