Breda Wilkinson - Rest in peace
Former Marist St Pats lock forward and legend, Gerard Wilkinson is back in Wellington from Australia’s Gold Coast following the passing of his mother, Bridget (known as ‘Breda’ or ‘B’ by many at MSP) last Saturday.
Gerard, known by many as ‘Big G’ played over 160 games for the MSP Premier 1sts from 1978 – 1994 and played over 100 games for the Wellington Lions. Breda and her husband, the late Bernie Wilkinson were passionate supporters of MSP and regularly attended the MSP clubrooms in Hataitai during the 1980’s.
The funeral service for Gerard’s mother will be held at Our Lady of Kapiti, Paraparaumu, Wednesday 8 June at 1pm for those able to attend.
The thoughts and prayers of our MSP players and supporters are with the Wilkinson family at this time.
